2024 Boat Building Workshops

Over two days, you will build your very own old school rowboat.

We will provide you with pre-cut wood, pre-planned design and all the tools and support you need. You will leave the workshop with your very own Balmain boat.

1-2 people per team. All experience levels are welcome.

It’s required you are 18+ or if you are between the ages of 10-18, an adult must accompany you.

Weekend Workshop Dates - choose from:

1. September - Sat 7th and Sun 8th

2. October - Sat 5th and Sun 6th (school holidays) 

Timings: 8.30 am - 5.30 pm on both days. 

Location: Uno Studios - 23 McCauley St Alexandria, 2015

Included: Tea and snacks will be provided, although you will need to bring your own lunch or visit one of the surrounding cafes - time for lunch will be provided. 

You will be responsible for transporting your boat home at the end of the final workshop day. You can strap it to roof racks on top of your car, place within a trailer or inside a bigger vehicle. 

Not included: Undercoat, paint/varnish, primer, oars and rope. After the workshop, you can choose your own finishes and customise your boat!
